COVID travel restrictions: The Netherlands

Travel is Europe is subject to pandemic-related restrictions. Many countries have tightened their measures because of the omicron variant, but some have relaxed them. These are the current rules in the Netherlands.

Entry regulations

Travelers to the Netherlands  no longer need to present proof of full vaccination, recovery, or a negative result result to enter.

Travelers coming from outside the EU may need to heed stricter rules. Check this list to see what requirements exist for your country.

COVID rules for daily life

Most coronavirus restrictions have been lifted. The Netherlands has reverted to pre-pandemic mode, with bars, restaurants, nightclubs, cinemas, theaters open and health passes no longer required. Social distancing and mask wearing are no longer required in most places.

Face masks remain mandatory at airports.
